The Alesis DM6 is nothing fancy, but it’s decent for the price. I would absolutely consider this electronic drumset if I was purchasing an electronic drumset for kids or beginners. It has good features including the MIDI USB connection which Alesis does a great job with. That feature alone makes the drums programmable to be just about any sound. So if you dig the pads, you’re getting a pretty solid electronic drumset for the money. Structure wise, it’s nothing special, if not slightly underwhelming, but if you need something super polished and sturdy, you’ll want to look at the higher end models of electronic drums.
Bottom Line - It is what it is; an affordable electronic drumkit that is worth what you pay for it.
- MIDI/USB Connections Allow for easy programming and recording, also easy to upload songs to play along to, if you want to use that feature.
- It is very easy to set up and comes with everything but the drum throne
- It's not the sturdiest electronic drumset on the market
