Bottom Line – This is one of the nicer fender acoustic guitars for under $500.  Definitely a better choice than some of the cheaper beginner guitars that are hard to play.  Whether you are gearing up to take your first guitar lesson and are looking for an easytoplay neck or you are looking through acoustic travel guitars with good sound quality and a great price tag, this solid spruce, fender classic will certainly get the job done well.

Adam’s Take

For an acoustic guitar under $400, this is a quality option and worthy of consideration.  The Fishman Classic 4T preamp is nice and great for the price with a 3 band EQ that succeeds in creating consistency between the acoustic and amplified tones.

The dreadnought body is well built with spruce and mahogany with a rosewood back and sides that create a roust tone.  There have been some shortcuts in the making of this guitar which is why it’s not a $1000 guitar

+ Positives:
  • Classical guitar with a non classical neck, makes it easy to play and learn on
  • Good price for the quality of the guitar
  • Decent electronics make it transfer sound well for live performances
- Negatives:
  • There are some corner that got cut, fortunately they are things that can be upgraded like the pegs
  • The fretboard is a prone to being rough. can be fixed with a little sandpaper and a shammy. would be smart to take it to a local guitar store to fine tune, then the value you will be much higher
